On behalf of the organizing committee, I am pleased to welcome you to our international conference titled "Archaeology and Cultural and Civilizational Heritage in the Arab World," held in the beautiful city of Luxor, a beacon of cultural and historical heritage worldwide. For thousands of years, Luxor has stood as a testament to some of the greatest civilizations in history. Today, as we gather in this historic city, we celebrate our shared cultural heritage and work together to preserve and develop it for future generations. This conference presents a unique opportunity for researchers and specialists from across the Arab world and beyond to exchange ideas and experiences. Over the next three days, we will discuss a wide range of topics related to archaeology and cultural heritage, including:
- Preservation of archaeological and heritage sites
- Challenges facing cultural heritage in light of modern changes
- The role of technology in documenting and protecting cultural heritage
- Cultural tourism and its impact on sustainable development

Ministerial Resolution No. 1853 was issued on June 11, 2016, which included the establishment of the Faculty of Archeology in Luxor Governorate, with its headquarters in the city of Luxor. Studies at the college began in the academic year 2016-2017 AD. Its Vision is "the Faculty of Archeology in Luxor be at the forefront of cultural educational institutions locally, regionally and globally, a distinguished scientific research beacon that serves society, achieves sustainable development, enriches the knowledge community, and interacts positively with sectors of society." Its is "The college is committed to achieving quality in the field of education, scientific research, and community service by graduating specialized scientific cadres and competencies who contribute to community service and environmental development in order to achieve sustainable development, inspired by shared responsibility, aesthetic and artistic values, and the preservation of heritage and antiquities through its academic programs."
